City Hall is inviting the public to an exhibition on the urban management of Bangkok and Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, being held from February 7-12 at Bangkok City Library in Phra Nakhon district.
The opening ceremony will be held on February 7 at 11am.
The exhibition is a collaboration between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the city of Astana to publicise and exchange urban management strategies between the two capitals.
The Bangkok leg of the showcase will focus on urban management of Astana, while the spotlight will be on Bangkok for the subsequent exhibition to be held at Kazakhstan National Library in Astana.
Attendees can learn about each capital’s history, geography, tourist attractions, transportation routes, relationship with sister cities, and best practices in urban management.
Relations between Bangkok and Astana date back to June 11, 2004 when representatives of both cities signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on economy, culture, tourism, urban planning and management, environment, youth activities and agriculture.
