BMA Clinches Prestigious Traffy Fondue Awards Fueled by Over 1.3 Million Citizen Complaints

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) achieved a historic milestone at the “Traffy Fondue: City Transformers Awards” ceremony, securing the top-tier “Award for the Highest Public Participation (Over 100,000 Cases)” for processing over 1,350,000 citizen complaints. Expressing profound gratitude, BMA Permanent Secretary Mr. Narong Ruengsri stated that this massive volume of reports reflects the public’s deep trust in the administration and a collective desire to transform Bangkok. He commended both the residents for acting as the city’s vital eyes and ears, and the BMA personnel across all departments and district offices for their relentless, rapid problem-solving efforts. Organized by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the ceremony was held on July 1, 2026, at the Pullman King Power Bangkok. Presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and MHESI Minister Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, the event honored organizations leveraging the Traffy Fondue digital platform to drive urban efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

In addition to the primary prize, numerous BMA sub-agencies dominated the event across multiple performance-based categories. Under the High-Volume Utilization tier, the Building Control Office of the Public Works Department, the Traffic Light Section of the Traffic and Transportation Department, and the City Law Enforcement Sections of Sathon and Phra Nakhon District Offices swept the awards for “All-round Excellence,” “Citizen-Centric Service,” and “Rapid Resolution”. For Consistent Utilization, honors for “All-round Excellence” were presented to the City Law Enforcement Sections of Bang Sue, Thonburi, and Sai Mai District Offices, alongside the Public Cleansing and Public Park Sections of Khlong Toei and Bang Kho Laem District Offices. Furthermore, the Public Works Department’s Construction Supervision Sections 1 and 4 were celebrated for “Rapid Resolution under Sustained Utilization,” while Section 3 claimed the award for “Rapid Resolution – New Adopters”. Lastly, the coveted “Commitment to Development” award was presented to multiple forward-thinking divisions, including the Environment and Sanitation Section of Saphan Sung District Office, the Community Development Section of Samphanthawong District Office, the City Law Enforcement Section of Bang Na District Office, and the Public Cleansing Section of Bang Khun Thian District Office, highlighting the BMA’s unified progression toward proactive, citizen-centric urban governance.
