On June 8, 2026, Miss Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), chaired the fourth South Thonburi District Group meeting at the Nong Khaem District Office and via an online system. Attended by executives from seven districts—Phasi Charoen, Bang Khae, Nong Khaem, Bang Khun Thian, Bang Bon, Rat Burana, and Thung Khru—along with the Governor of Bangkok Secretariat, the meeting focused on aligning public relations strategies. Miss Aranya emphasized developing a unified communication network to ensure that neighborhood-level BMA updates are delivered to citizens in an accurate, concise, and comprehensive manner.
A major focus was placed on modernizing special education through digital tools, highlighted by a case study from the Autism Digital Learning Center. The framework targets nine core developmental areas, integrating immersive technologies like Virtual Reality (VR) and the Work Boxes System to foster social and vocational skills. To implement this, the BMA plans a pilot program for South Thonburi teachers to study these methods. Additionally, schools participating in Community-Based Learning (CBL) with the Arsom Silp Institute, including a network of existing and newly added schools across Chom Thong, Bang Kho Laem, Bang Khun Thian, Thung Khru, and neighboring provinces, will showcase their community-linked educational models at an open house on June 19, 2026.
Turning to urban management, the committee reviewed recent Traffy Fondue statistics, noting that the top five public complaints centered on infrastructure: sidewalks, lighting, roadways, cleanliness, and traffic violations. Finally, looking ahead to the June 28, 2026, capital elections, the meeting mapped out candidate configurations across the seven southern districts. Miss Aranya directed all district offices to thoroughly verify voter lists, secure indoor and outdoor polling stations against seasonal rain, and enforce strict administrative neutrality to ensure a transparent and efficient electoral process.
