Bangkok welcomes leaders of Guangzhou to discuss cooperation in developing a smart city in the areas of environment, technology, and culture.

 

Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok welcomed Mr. Guo Yonghang, Secretary General of the Communist Party of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, People’s Republic of China, and the delegation.

The objective of this meeting of the Guangzhou Communist Party Secretariat is to strengthen relations with Bangkok in a dimension where both sides have common interests under the sister city relationship since 2009 and discuss studies on the possibility of establishing cooperation in mutually beneficial fields such as smart cities, environmental management, technology, and arts and culture, as well as strengthening cooperation in the automotive industry, agriculture, and strengthening friendship among people.

Since the establishment of sister city relations in 2009, Bangkok and Guangzhou have had exchanges and cooperation in many fields such as economy and trade, culture, education, agriculture, etc.
