Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, inspected the dog shelter (Uthai Thani) to confirm the animals were disease-free by veterinarians according to standards and prepared to develop them to be more efficient in the future.

Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, visited the stray dog shelter in Bangkok (Uthai Thani) and surrounding areas and held a meeting to discuss plans for physical adjustments to the shelter due to damage over time and actual use.

In this regard, the Bangkok Stray Dog Shelter (Uthai Thani) has an area of 200 rai which can accommodate 6,000 dogs. There is a plan to reduce the number of dogs per area to increase space for more dogs.

Guidelines for caring for dogs in the Bangkok Stray Dog Shelter (Uthai Thani) include daily care, disease prevention through vaccination, deworming and flea prevention, treating sick dogs, providing familiarity, and training dogs to obey basic commands in preparation for adoption.
In addition, there is screening and treatment for diseases that have not been found in the dog shelter.

In addition, the veterinary clinic within the dog shelter also provides free medical examinations for small pets to nearby residents by an agreement between Bangkok and Uthai Thani Province.
