Chatuchak Park bathrooms received a renovation budget and are ready to begin operations in June 2024. An overview of the bathrooms in Bangkok parks has passed the HAS criteria of 80%.

Mr. Aekvarunyoo Amrapala, BMA Spokesperson and Assistant Secretary to the Governor of Bangkok, revealed that The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has short-term plans to renovate the Chatuchak Park restrooms, including repainting the doors, replacing the tiles and restroom fixtures to sit flat to make them more convenient. However, Chatuchak Park bathrooms have a total of 6 areas. 5 areas have already been renovated and another 1 area has received a budget of 5 million baht. It is expected that the renovation will begin in June and take 120 days.

In this regard, the Health Department and District Office have surveyed and assessed the hygiene of public restrooms in Bangkok and found that there are a total of 7,000 public restrooms in Bangkok. From the hygiene assessment, 4,575 establishments appeared to have passed HAS standards or 82.72 percent. As for the 60 public parks in Bangkok, it was found that 48 passed the HAS standard, or 80 percent.
