Bangkok participated in a booth displaying the potential of Bangkok’s tourism at ITB Berlin 2024.

Princess Ubolratana attended the Internationale Tourismus Borse 2024 (ITB Berlin 2024) scheduled to be held at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Ground in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. On this occasion, Dr. Wantanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of BMA, along with the administrators of the Culture Office Sports and Tourism join as representatives of Bangkok are willing to welcome Her Highness to the exhibition.

Dr. Wantanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of BMA, revealed that Bangkok has a mission to develop and promote tourism to stimulate the economy of Bangkok. This year, Bangkok brought the charm of a diverse metropolis and is the world’s most popular destination city to join in a booth to showcase Bangkok’s tourism potential at ITB Berlin 2024, the world’s largest tourism promotion event. It was held from 5-7 March 2024 in Berlin, the Federal Republic of Germany to showcase Bangkok’s tourism readiness and create awareness of Bangkok’s diverse charms among attendees from 180 countries around the world in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and important tourist cities of Thailand such as Phuket, Pattaya, Samui.

Mr. Sing Limpirat, Deputy Director – General Of the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department further said that Bangkok has continuously participated in ITB Berlin. This year, the Bangkok booth is organized under the concept of the charm of Bangkok neighborhoods and the architecture of the early Rattanakosin period. It is focused on presenting soft power and important areas of Bangkok such as the Songwat area and Tha Tien area along with presenting Thai arts and culture through handicraft demonstration activities such as demonstrations of applying gold onto cloth, garland making, palm leaf weaving, and Thai massage activities. It will allow attendees to experience the enchanting Health & Wellness of Thailand to build awareness and impress them in creating a travel experience for tourists. It also brings tourism business operators such as Central Group, Hotel Once Bangkok, Saran Medical Company Limited (Wansiri Hospital), and Elephant GO GO Company Limited to join in business negotiations with entrepreneurs from around the world.

Bangkok is confident that participating in ITB Berlin 2024 in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany this time will create awareness and a good image of Bangkok as a World-Class Tourism Destination. It will demonstrate Bangkok’s readiness to welcome tourists from all over the world with a new and valuable travel experience.
