Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok visited the Buppharam Temple community to offer moral support to the victims of the fire.

Due to a fire at a house in a community in the Thonburi area on March 5, the house was damaged and one person died. Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok visited and encouraged the victims who suffered from the said fire.

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, comforted and encouraged the victims and said: During this time there are frequent fires because of strong winds and hot weather. I want everyone to be careful about fires, short circuits, and charging mobile phones, especially in homes where elderly people live alone or with bedridden patients. Warnings should be told to neighbors so that if anything happens, they will be able to help or ask for help from the authorities immediately and appropriately.

If you encounter a fire, please call the hotline 199. You can check information on fire risk areas at BKK Risk Map: https://cpudapp.bangkok.go.th/riskbkk/index.html

To prevent fires in Bangkok, I would like to ask citizens with concerns to regularly inspect electrical appliances and electrical wires. If damaged, it must be repaired or replaced immediately, including turning off the switch and unplugging the appliance after every use.

It includes not plugging in various electrical appliances with extension cords and not plugging in a smartphone charger on the bed or sofa, as well as not engaging in activities that use electricity, such as lighting mosquito repellent, lighting incense and candles to worship Buddha, etc. Also, we ask for your cooperation not to burn garbage and weeds in the open or when the wind is blowing strong to prevent the fire from spreading and causing a fire.
