Mr. Supakrit Bunkhan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of BMA, attended the preparatory meeting to discuss and understand the field inspection of business operators who manufacture and sell polished gemstones and polished gemstone jewelry with relevant agencies at Bangkok City Hall (Giant Swing) Phra Nakhon District. It also covers the business operator inspection area at Gems Gallery International Manufacturer Co., Ltd. in Phaya Thai District.

Mr. Supakrit Bunkhan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of BMA, revealed after visiting the area that Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance visited Bangkok City Hall (Giant Swing) and held a meeting to follow up and expedite the development of Bangkok. He is concerned about Bangkok’s treatment of tourists, including tourists’ complaints of unfair treatment of products and services. Thus, he has assigned the Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office to follow up on the progress of the tourism working group.

Today, a working group consisting of Bangkok and related agencies visited the area to inspect manufacturers and distributors of polished gemstones and jewelry for sale to tourists and foreigners in the Bangkok area by randomly inspecting gemstones, diamonds, and yellow gold. However, we found that it meets the standards set by the label. From now on, the working group will expand the inspection results of establishments to cover various areas throughout Bangkok.
