Bangkok Metropolitan Administration promises that by the end of 2024, Bangkok must be bright for citizens’ safety and increase confidence among tourists.

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, revealed that the LED light bulb project in Bangkok is good. Previously, high-pressure Sodium bulbs were used. When changed to LED bulbs, they will be brighter and will also help save energy. If the IOT system is used, it will also be able to know where the power went out.

Assoc. Prof. Wisanu Subsompon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok said that overall in 2023, which is our first year, we have already replaced 25,000 LED light bulbs. 5,000 of them will be installed on main roads. Another 20,000 lights were installed in alleys. By 2024, we aim for 60,000 lights, of which 20,000 will be installed on main roads, and an IOT tracking system that can control lights on and off and monitor where the lights are. It can be extinguished. Another 40,000 lights will be installed in the alleys, of which 10,000 have already been made. We will work hard to reach our goal to make Bangkok brighter than before by 2024. However, if people find a point where there is a power outage, they can report it through the Traffy Fondue system so that we can expedite the solution.
