BMA Inspects Preparations for “Thai People, Klong Prem: One Waterway” Event Uniting Three Provinces in Honor of Her Majesty the Queen

On June 2, 2026, Mr. Taiwhut Khankaew, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), conducted a site inspection at the Klong Prem Prachakon community in Don Mueang District to follow up on preparations for the upcoming celebratory event, “Thai People, Klong Prem: One Waterway”. Scheduled for June 14, 2026, this collaborative initiative unites the three connected provinces of Bangkok, Pathum Thani, and Ayutthaya along the shared historical waterway. The event is organized in honor of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s 4th cycle birthday anniversary, which fell on June 3, 2026. It aims to continue Her Majesty’s royal initiatives focused on improving the quality of life, preserving the environment, and fostering community unity across provincial boundaries.

During the inspection, Deputy Permanent Secretary Taiwhut instructed all participating BMA agencies to expedite landscape and environmental improvements surrounding the venue to ensure absolute cleanliness, orderliness, and safety. He specifically emphasized the thorough checking of electrical and lighting systems, the implementation of strict public safety standards, and the proper arrangement of traffic and visitor conveniences. BMA executives, alongside leadership from the Drainage and Sewerage Department, Don Mueang District, Chatuchak District, and other relevant departments, joined the inspection to ensure seamless coordination, allowing the celebratory activities to proceed smoothly and with the highest level of respect for the royal occasion.
