On May 21, 2026, Miss Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), presided over the opening ceremony of the BMA’s Human Resource Development Project at the SD Avenue Hotel in Bang Phlat District. Serving as the 15th orientation training course for the 2026 fiscal year, the strategic initiative is designed to prepare newly appointed personnel for upcoming municipal missions. Miss Aranya welcomed the new inductees, highlighting them as a vital new generation tasked with driving Bangkok’s transformation into a modern city. She emphasized that their unique strengths in communication and digital innovation are crucial for helping the organization adapt to global technological advancements and evolving citizen behaviors. To support this influx of talent, the BMA provides continuous opportunities for professional growth, skill development, inter-agency experience exchanges, and specialized career planning.
Organized by the Office of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Civil Service Commission, the comprehensive curriculum aims to cultivate performance-related knowledge and essential public service skills. This specific iteration of the program targets 119 practitioner-level civil servants in both academic and general tracks who entered municipal service between September 2025 and March 2026. Scheduled to run from May 21 until June 10, 2026, the rigorous agenda includes full-day instructional modules alongside a specialized three-day, two-night residential training component hosted at the Metropolitan Learning Center in Nong Chok District. During her address, Miss Aranya offered vital guidance to the inductees, advising them to focus heavily on continuous self-development, personal financial planning, healthy lifestyles, and a sustainable work-life balance. By investing heavily in its human capital, the BMA intends to nurture high-quality, fulfilled public servants who are fully equipped to serve Bangkok residents to their highest potential.
