BMA Joins National Workshop to Rehearse 9-Dimensional Government Security Plan

On May 21, 2026, Mr. Thanit Tanbuaklee, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), attended a national workshop titled “Driving Security Operations According to Government Policy”. Chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul at Government House, the event aimed to integrate security agencies nationwide and align their operational roles with state directives to achieve tangible results.

The afternoon session divided participants into four regional subgroups to brainstorm actionable solutions for nine urgent national security priorities. These interconnected dimensions include combating public land encroachment, suppressing technological crime, targeting businesses using illegal Thai nominees, dismantling drug trafficking, and tackling money laundering. Furthermore, the strategy focuses on suppressing influential figures, erasing informal debts, boosting tourist safety, and linking national security databases.

Supported by strategic inputs from the Minister of Justice, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and the Internal Security Operations Command, these regional discussions will be synthesized into concrete operational guidelines. By participating in this collaborative framework, the BMA aims to strengthen inter-agency data sharing and enforce comprehensive measures to safeguard civic safety, protect public resources, and maintain long-term peace and order across the capital.
