
On January 13, 2026, at 15.30 hrs., Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, the Governor of Bangkok, together with Mr. Wisanu Subsompon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, and Mr. Pornphrom Vikitsreth, Adviser to Governor of Bangkok and Chief Sustainability Officer, welcomed Her Excellency Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Kingdom of Thailand, at Amarin Room, Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha), Phra Nakhon District. The Ambassador was also accompanied by Mrs. Dvora Dorsman Yarkoni, First Secretary from the Embassy of Israel in Thailand, and Mr. Tomer Shpilman, Head of Israel’s Economic and Trade Mission to Thailand.
The Ambassador paid a courtesy call to the Governor of Bangkok to officially introduce herself following her assumption of duties in Thailand. The discussion focused on exchanging views and addressing various issues, including the potential collaboration in water management, flood prevention strategies, emergency response initiatives, climate change mitigation, and advancement in urban innovation and smart city development.
At the conclusion of the courtesy call, Governor Chadchart graciously presented the Ambassador with a replica of the Key to the City along with a book entitled “As Floral Tributes for His Majesty the King” as gestures of appreciation.
