BMA Performs Big Cleaning Operation at Sanam Luang Waiting Area for the Royal Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother

◾️Yesterday (November 1, 2025) at 21.00 hrs., Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), by the Environment Department and Central Bangkok District Zone— consisting of Phra Nakhon, Dusit, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Samphanthawong, Din Daeng, Huai Khwang, Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, and Wang Thonglang districts — together with volunteers, organized a Big Cleaning activity around the Royal Field or Sanam Luang.

◾️ In addition, the BMA deployed officials to monitor food sanitation and hygienic food preparation practices. It aims to solve problems of water overflow on the ground and around tree bases, and prevent damage to trees around the Royal Field due to excessive water. They also provided guidance on washing utensils in designated areas, with grease traps to be installed to treat wastewater before disposal, preventing clogged drains and foul odors. Officials also monitor the installation of sinks and grease traps and coordinate with the related parties to arrange and manage the field kitchen areas in aligned order. Officers will be assigned to maintain order around entrances and exits to avoid confusion, as they prepare the area to accommodate the expected increase in visitors at Sanam Luang.
