The Governor of Bangkok said after the meeting that at today’s meeting, he reported one important matter, namely the health examination of 1,000,000 people. Currently, 846,703 people (all age groups, all service units in the Bangkok area) have received physical examinations. For the examination of working age groups and the elderly, the estimated number of service recipients is 230,000 people. There will be 3 additional detailed examinations: heart examination, EKG, lung X-ray examination, and eye examination.

This project can promote Bangkok’s understanding of the health risks of citizens, such as obesity, smoking, and depression. This information can be used to expand prevention results better. Last year, Bangkok was able to check the health of approximately 3-4 hundred thousand people. This year, more than 800,000 people have been examined. It is expected that by the end of the year, there will be a total of 1 million people examined.
