Bangkok opens a new stretching area at the Benjakiti Sports Center and provides 11 pieces of equipment aimed at keeping Bangkokians healthy.

 

 

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, presided over the opening of the stretching area at Benjakitti Sports Center, Khlong Toei District.

 

The Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism Department has opened a new area for stretching before and after exercise. It is to prepare the muscles before exercise, relax the muscles after exercise, and prevent injuries that may occur from exercising or playing sports. It can effectively reduce the risk of muscle injury during exercise and various activities. It is suitable for all genders and all ages. The area is approximately 130 square meters and is close to a futsal stadium with 11 types of muscle stretching equipment.

 

According to 9 policies under 9 “good” categories of the Governor of Bangkok, he wants to increase sports centers and healthy activities for Bangkok people by establishing the Benjakitti Sports Center to provide sports activities. 6 sports activities are table tennis, tech ball, basketball, badminton, pickleball, and futsal from 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. There are also water sports activities such as spinning boats and kayaks available. Currently, Benjakiti Sports Center has continuously increasing numbers of users and is considered a sports center for all Bangkokians.
