Din Daeng Walking Street has started! Everyone is invited to enjoy and take a walk, which lasts for 10 consecutive days, until this 28 March.

 

“Shopping, eating, eating, and enjoying the Din Daeng Walking Street is a very enjoyable activity. I would like to praise the person who named the activity because it fully conveys the meaning. This road has never had any activity before. Organizing this activity creates a new and good atmosphere. It shows an intention to stimulate the economy. People have the opportunity to support local products and buy good things at cheap prices. On behalf of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, I would like to thank all involved parties who came together to organize this activity. I would like to invite everyone to join this event from now until March 28, 2024.” Dr. Wantanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of BMA, spoke on the occasion of presiding over the opening of the activity “Shopping, eating, eating, and enjoying the Din Daeng Walking Street” today (19 March 2024).

The Din Daeng District Office plans to organize the activity “Shopping, eating, eating, and enjoying the Din Daeng Walking Street” between 19 – 28 March 2024 in the Mitmaitri Road area. It covers from the Din Daeng District Office to Bangkok City Hall, Din Daeng from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to stimulate the economy, shopping, and promote the people of Din Daeng District to have income from selling products according to government policy and the policy of the Governor of Bangkok. It has received support in various areas from members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Din Daeng District, and network partners in both the public and private sectors.

This activity consists of the distribution of consumer goods from factories, the sale of a variety of street food, and Din Daeng community products including performances by students of Bangkok schools and youth in the area. In addition, there will be sanitation inspections of food and stores and a waste separation point will be arranged, along with staff to take care of the waste separation point throughout the activity.
