Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, advised the youth to exchange to Bangkok to gather knowledge from Fukuoka for developing 3 areas towards a metropolis with quality people.

Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, presided over the ceremony to deliver a speech and present certificates to the Bangkok youth group for the 14th generation of the Technology and Cultural Exchange Project between Bangkok and Fukuoka City.

Mr. Sanon said that I am glad that Bangkok has a good project like this continuing into its 14th generation. Going abroad will help broaden your horizons, which is a valuable experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Importantly, Fukuoka is a sister city to Bangkok. We have a long-standing relationship. Therefore, when we visit, we are treated as special guests just like when they visit us. I believe that everyone will have the best experience from the government there. I want everyone to use every second of their time wisely and use what they have received to develop in 3 areas together.

The first is to develop ourselves because the city will never be better than the people we have. Therefore, human development is city development. If we become better people, the city will be better. The second is that in this exchange we have more opportunities than many others. It would be too selfish for us not to share the knowledge we have gained with others. It is a responsibility that we have returned and must pass on to everyone who can excel together. The third is a better social environment, community, and family, which is not just material development but must also raise the spirit because violence in society or even in schools these days comes from the mind.

The Education Bureau has implemented the “Technology and Cultural Exchange Project between Bangkok and Fukuoka City” for the fiscal year 2024 and the 14th generation. The objective is to promote the exchange of knowledge, organize teaching and learning activities, develop thinking processes to be able to create knowledge by oneself, create understanding, and create awareness of developments in technology, science, and the environment. Students under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration can use them in their daily lives with the highest quality and efficiency and spread arts and culture between the youth of both countries. 10 student representatives have been selected to exchange knowledge in Fukuoka, Japan between 21-26 March 2024. Today, a ceremony was held to present certificates to all 10 students to encourage them and receive certificates from the Deputy Governor of Bangkok.
