On June 22, 2026, Miss Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), conducted site visits at Wat Hua Lamphong School in Bang Rak District and Wat Benchamabophit School in Phra Nakhon District. The visits aimed to monitor progress and improve the efficiency of learning management in alignment with the BMA’s educational upgrade policy, which targets the development of proficient multi-language literacy for Generation Alpha. During her inspection, Miss Aranya observed a first-grade Thai-Chinese language class at Wat Hua Lamphong School and a first-grade Thai-English language class at Wat Benchamabophit School. Both institutions employ an immersive teaching model where native foreign educators teach all subjects in their respective languages, except for the Thai language subject, while local Thai teachers provide supervised classroom assistance.
The observed classes used a student-centered approach, following the School as Learning Community (SLC) process, incorporating modern teaching materials to create a lively, engaging environment that enabled students to learn proper pronunciation and vocabulary directly from native speakers. Additionally, Miss Aranya visited a fourth-grade digital classroom at Wat Benchamabophit School and held meetings with school administrators and teachers to address operational challenges. She provided guidance on targeted resource management and teacher development in line with BMA directives. The discussions focused on establishing long-term strategies to cultivate learning environments conducive to tangible language use. Miss Aranya emphasized that promoting literacy in Thai, Chinese, and English is vital to expanding learning opportunities. It aims to transform these two institutions into educational models that effectively equip youth with essential modern skills.
