Holistic Urban Development: Governor Chadchart Inspects Din Daeng’s Sports, Safety, and Sustainability Projects

On February 28, 2026, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, led a comprehensive inspection of the Din Daeng district to monitor the progress of key initiatives and engage directly with the community. Joined by district executives and Mrs. Anong Pechtat, Member of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council, the visit aimed to address local concerns through a multi-dimensional lens, covering public health, education, urban order, and environmental sustainability. The Governor’s first stop was the Flat 29 sports field, where he reviewed a health promotion project funded by the National Health Security Fund. By focusing on football and futsal activities for youth, the program serves as a critical tool for drug deterrence and physical development. In collaboration with the National Housing Authority, Governor Chadchart emphasized the importance of high-quality sports facilities in fostering discipline and teamwork among young residents, ensuring that community spaces effectively support the well-being of the city’s next generation.

The delegation then moved to Huai Khwang Market to oversee the reorganization of sidewalks and trading zones. This joint effort between the City Law Enforcement Department and the District Office focuses on reducing obstructions to ensure pedestrian safety and cleanliness while maintaining a functional marketplace. The Governor’s commitment to education was equally evident during a visit to Samsen Nok School, where he inspected the renovation of a swimming pool designed to teach essential survival skills. During the visit, he also took a moment to praise the school’s award-winning choir, highlighting the BMA’s dedication to developing students’ talents both academically and through extracurricular excellence.

The inspection concluded at the Huai Khwang Housing Estate, focusing on environmental management through the “Community Waste Bank” initiative. By encouraging waste sorting at the source, the project not only reduces the city’s disposal burden but also generates supplementary income for residents. Governor Chadchart’s visit underscores the BMA’s integrated approach to urban governance, where public health, education, and environmental stewardship work in tandem. By listening to community feedback and ensuring the stability of local infrastructure, the BMA continues its mission to create a more livable, equitable, and sustainable Bangkok for all residents.
