On January 22, 2026, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, launched the “Dream City: City Builds Dreams, EF Builds People” event at Benchakitti Forest Park. This initiative marks a significant step in the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) “Policy 101,” which prioritizes Executive Function (EF) development in children aged 0 to 8 years. By focusing on critical brain development during these formative years, the program aims to equip children with essential life skills, including systematic thinking, emotional regulation, and social adaptability.
The Governor introduced a comprehensive “3-pronged” strategy to transform these goals into reality. This includes implementing the “Think, Do, and Learn” curriculum, training over 1,000 educators to establish model kindergartens, and fostering a collaborative network between parents and schools. Partnering with the Rakluke Learning Group and Dow Thailand, the BMA plans to scale these efforts across all affiliated schools, ensuring that the development of “human capital” remains a top priority for the city’s future.
Running until January 25, the “Dream City” event features expert forums, educational exhibitions, and awards for contributors to early childhood development. Governor Chadchart noted that “a strategy without an action plan is merely an attractive slogan,” reaffirming the BMA’s commitment to measurable results. Through cross-sector collaboration between the government, private sector, and academia, the program seeks to provide Thai children with a tangible path toward lifelong learning and success.
