Bangkok ðŸĪ Venice — Two Cities of Water Unite to Share Ideas and Build a Sustainable Future

‎📍 On 15 October 2025, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, together with Mr. Pimuk Simaroj, Secretary to the Governor, and officials from the Bangkok International Affairs Office, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Luigi Brugnaro, Mayor of Venice, at Ca’ Farsetti Town Hall.

‎Both sides discussed potential collaboration in water management, waste management, hydrogen-powered passenger vessels, tourism, trade and investment promotion, and the promotion of direct flights between Bangkok and Venice.

‎The meeting culminated in the signing of a Letter of Intent between the City of Venice (Italian Republic) and the City of Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand), witnessed by H.E. Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Ambassador of Thailand to Italy, and Mr. Andrea Marcon, Honorary Consul in Venice.

‎This signing marks an important first step in fostering friendship and cooperation between the two cities — paving the way for future exchanges of knowledge, experience, and best practices in urban development.
