Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Enhances Community Healthcare Access with Mobile Medical Units in Din Daeng

(March 26, 2025) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has intensified its efforts to provide accessible healthcare to residents by deploying mobile medical and public health units to communities across the city.

Mr. Sunthorn Sunthornchart, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the BMA, visited and commended the dedicated staff operating these units at Wat Kunnatheeruttharam (Wat Huai Khwang) in Din Daeng District.
This initiative, part of the “Bangkok Cares, Health Matters” project, marks the 23rd deployment of mobile healthcare services, aiming to bring essential health check-ups and medical services directly to residents.

By doing so, the BMA seeks to alleviate the financial burden on citizens, reduce overcrowding in hospitals, and improve access to quality healthcare at the grassroots level.

This aligns with the Bangkok Governor’s policy to deliver comprehensive public health services, including doctors, nurses, and mobile medical units, directly to communities for convenient and timely access.

The event offered a wide range of services, including comprehensive health screenings, age-appropriate blood tests, disease diagnosis and basic medication dispensing, mobile women’s cancer screening, retinal and chest X-ray screenings, dental services, mental health consultations, animal sterilisation, and pet vaccinations and microchipping.

Additionally, residents had the opportunity to receive various health consultations and explore local products from the district office.

Key figures present at the event included Ms. Chutisa Sartsara, Director of Din Daeng District, along with executives from the BMA Health Department and Medical Service Department, staff from Public Health Service Centre 52 Samsen Nok, and numerous dedicated public health volunteers.

The BMA’s ongoing commitment to bringing healthcare services directly to communities underscores its dedication to improving the well-being of its residents and ensuring that quality medical care is accessible to all.
