BMA – MEA joins forces to inspect the electrical distribution system of the water pumping system. To be ready to prevent and solve flooding problems effectively.

Assoc. Prof. Wisanu Subsompon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok along with the executives of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) went to the area to inspect the readiness of the electrical system and see the operation of the water pumps at the water pumping station. This is the pumping point for the Bueng Makkasan drainage tunnel, which is one of the four large drainage tunnels in Bangkok.

To help speed up drainage and reduce the water level in the main canal. Helps reduce the risk of flooding in the inner areas of Bangkok, including Watthana District, Pathumwan District, Ratchathewi District, Phaya Thai District, Huai Khwang District, and Din Daeng District.

During the period of transit, BMA has cooperated with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority to continuously inspect the electrical supply systems of various water pumping systems.

To prevent problems with the electrical system that may occur. Including taking care of physical aspects such as cutting branches and installing animal protection equipment. and check the electrical system Strengthen the stability of the pumping station Drainage tunnels, and water pumping wells, each with staff assigned to the area and joint action plans at important drainage points. To prepare to quickly solve the power outage problem. and can effectively manage water drainage to prevent and solve flooding problems
