BMA installs 36,000 additional community fire extinguishers within 4 months, with QR codes indicating their location and service life.

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok Revealed while participating in the delivery and installation of 17 fire extinguishers in the community in Pom Prap Sattru Phai District that after the Yaowarat fire incident, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation assigned the Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to survey the entire community in this area for fire safety.

In the past, BMA More than 30,000 fire extinguishers with problems have been collected. We are now beginning to gradually distribute them. It will be distributed every month throughout Bangkok. Approximately 9,000 tanks per month for 4 months, totaling approximately 36,000 tanks, with 1 tank installed for every 5 households. Newly installed fire extinguishers will have QR code stickers for pinning down the coordinates on the map. Along with clearly showing the age of the tank and the tank inspection history.

However, 36,000 fire extinguishers may not be available in every community that has been established. Additional orders may be required. For communities that have not yet been established, if they need a fire extinguisher, they can get one at the area office.
