Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok welcomed Mr. Thirachai Wuttitham, President of the Bangkok Provincial Sports Association and the association’s executive committee on the occasion of being certified by the Sports Authority of Thailand and discussed the development of sports in Bangkok and activities in honor of His Majesty the King’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary.

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, said that sports are an important aspect of the city because they help build a strong mind and body. Children will not get involved in various vices. We have had many sports activities in the past and have received great attention. Thank you to the Bangkok Sports Association for having the project discussed today, which is a very good thing. The main program of 3 activities that will take place are:
1. Senior football competing for the King’s Cup and honoring His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 72nd birthday. It will be held in June – August. Cooperation between Bangkok and the Sports Association with support from Dhipaya Insurance
2. The first 6-a-side football tournament in Thailand to compete for the trophy. It can be considered a competition in which Thailand has a high chance of reaching the world level, either the Olympics or the World Championships, organized from August – September
3. U17 Invitation Super Cup 2024 is held from October – December.

“In this regard, Bangkok is already prepared in terms of location. We have various sports stadiums that are intended to benefit people not only in Bangkok but throughout the country. We are very thankful to the sports association for creating such good activities,” the governor said.
