Dr. Wantanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of BMA, attended the meeting of the committee to create the Giant Swing History Hall.
The abbot of Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan had the idea to make the pavilion into a Giant Swing History Hall to collect the history of the creation of important ceremonies related to the Giant Swing. It covers the restoration of the Giant Swing for the public or interested parties to search and study for knowledge that will be useful in further research. It is also a place to relax because the undressing pavilion of Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworawihan coincides with the Giant Swing, giving a beautiful view of the Giant Swing. Bangkok has joined with Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworawihan to create the Giant Swing History Hall.
Today’s meeting discussed the contents to be included in the Giant Swing History Hall such as its history, restoration, related ceremonies and exhibits such as type, design, and format.
After the meeting, Dr. Wantanee assigned the task to a committee appointed by Bangkok. It consists of an advisory board, an executive board, and a content board. The data is processed to digest information, the history of the Giant Swing, and to find techniques and methods for presenting the most complete story. There will be actual field visits in the construction area to use the space effectively and find outstanding points to attract the public. For example, a photo spot with the Giant Swing that cannot be seen from other angles. There will be a meeting to follow up on the results next time.
