Bangkok has dispatched mobile medical units to Prawet district to provide free health checks for locals.
Deputy Bangkok governor Tavida Kamolvej presided over the launch ceremony of the city’s 10th edition of the mobile medical unit campaign on Wednesday.
The campaign is a part of the city’s “9 Dan 9 Dee” (“9 excellences in 9 aspects”) policy to improve people’s quality of life by providing medical treatment, education promotion, vocational training, and other services.
Each edition of the campaign sees the city dispatch medical units to target areas twice a month to provide free basic health check-ups so locals can save on travel expenses for hospital visits.
The units also sell OTOP products made by communities in Prawet district as a way of helping the local economy.
Tavida said the ongoing campaign will cover all six zones of the metropolitan area, in line with Governor Chadchart Sittipunt’s “9 Dan 9 Dee” policy.
The policy covers nine key aspects of development to make Bangkok a truly liveable city for all: safety, transport, health, creativity, environment, infrastructure, administration, education, and economy.
