Mr. Chatree Wattanakhajorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of BMA Went to the area to inspect waste management at the garbage collection point at the entrance of Sukhumvit Soi 11, Sukhumvit Road, Watthana District. After this point, there was a large amount of garbage problem. And there is garbage thrown out outside of hours.
Watthana District Office We have set up a garbage collection point. At the entrance of Sukhumvit Soi 11, 4 points at 6:00 p.m. and collected at 5:30 a.m. every day.
Previously, the district collected garbage 2 times/day, namely the 1st round at 8:30 p.m. and the 2nd round at 4:30 a.m., but after there was a problem with a large amount of garbage. And there is garbage thrown out outside of hours. Therefore, the number of remaining garbage collections was increased by 2 more rounds, namely the 3rd round at 10:00 a.m. and the 4th round at 2:00 p.m.
The amount of garbage collected is 1.2 tons per day. The source of garbage includes garbage from households, shops, and business establishments, Soi Sukhumvit 11, Soi Sukhumvit 11/1, and nearby areas. This is to ensure orderliness in this garbage dumping area. The district has carried out public relations requests for cooperation from traders, entrepreneurs, and people in the said area. Dispose of solid waste according to the guidelines “dispose as a place, keep for a time”.
