At Bangkok City Hall (Giant Swing): Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting cooperation between Gyeongsangnam Province, Republic of Korea, and Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, by the mutual desire to strengthen understanding and goodwill between each other.
For the memorandum of understanding on promoting cooperation, the two sides will cooperate to promote common prosperity and development based on equality and mutual benefit under its authority and by laws and regulations in each country by cooperating in various fields including tourism, industry, agriculture, education, management and in areas that both sides agree on. It is in line with the government policies and international obligations of both sides and encourages their respective agencies to contact each other directly to cooperate following this memorandum of understanding. It will also encourage the exchange of visits by their officials.
In addition, the two sides will discuss with each other the format and plans for cooperation in the approval of this memorandum of understanding. It is to organize a meeting for monitoring and evaluating joint performance on an annual basis or when it is necessary for the said plan to progress until it has concrete results and is seriously beneficial to both parties.
On this occasion, before the signing, the Governor of Bangkok along with the Bangkok Executive Committee and related persons welcomed the Governor of Gyeongsangnam Province, Republic of Korea, and the delegation. As well as preliminary discussions to initiate cooperation in the framework of bilateral tourism relations. It will be able to expand to the fields of education, culture, industry, and governance at the Amonphiman Room, Bangkok City Hall (Giant Swing), Phra Nakhon District.
