BMA joins hands with m-society to develop an electronic family logbook for linking information to care for vulnerable populations, with a completion target within 1 year.

Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, chaired the meeting of the working group on data and information systems under the working group driving cooperation between the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and Bangkok.

“Data is the key factor of many issues. Many times, the local government collects the data, and the data is transferred to the ministry or government sector, making data coordination and linkage difficult. If a matter requires permission to use data, it will take some time. Therefore, having this working group will make data linkage more efficient,” he said.

The meeting considered the framework for integrating data and information systems in the Bangkok area. The operational plan includes guidelines for conducting a study and reviewing data from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and data from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (Ministry of Social Development and Human Security).

It includes data integration and analysis for shared data utilization, and joint creation of additional data (surveys/collections) with the electronic family logbook system. It must be undertaken as an urgent project for 1 year (Quick-Win Project).

If various data can be linked through the Quick-Win project operation, the meeting will agree to organize training for IT volunteers of BMA and m-society to understand the use of MSO – Logbook, which is an important system for collecting information and helping vulnerable groups in the Bangkok area of m-society, including providing knowledge on personal data protection.
