Summary of campaign results #This car does not cause dust, with cars participating in the project for clean air for Bangkokians from 2023 to 112%.

 

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, revealed an overview of the project’s success after Bangkok joined with network partners to launch the campaign “This car does not cause dust” and provide promotions and discounts on engine oil and air filter changes to the public during December 2023 – February 29 to reduce the causes of pollution and PM2.5 dust in the Bangkok area.

 

Summary of results: After the end of the campaign, the target was set at 300,000 cars, with 265,130 cars participating in the project, or 88%. It can reduce dust from traffic by 13.26% and dust from all sources by 9.25%. People’s interest in joining the project has increased from 2023 by as much as 112%.

 

The PM2.5 dust problem is an important problem for the quality of life of Bangkok people, but solving the PM2.5 dust problem is not easy. It requires cooperation from many agencies. In the past, Bangkok, as the host, has been serious in urgently following up to get good air back for Bangkokians. Today is considered another success. Bangkok would like to thank all sectors and all citizens who have participated in this project and are part of returning clean air to society for a good quality of life in the future.
