BMA inspects fire extinguishing equipment in the Yaowarat area Meets the standard criteria and coordinates with the MEA to plan to immediately cut off power when there is a fire.

Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok Went into the area to survey the redhead water supply point in the Phat Sai community. Samphanthawong District
Within the community, there are 2 red-headed water supply points. From a survey of fire extinguishers installed within the community, it was found that there were 15 portable fire extinguishers with QR CODE stickers showing the location of the fire extinguishers on the Bangkok risk map from the inspection. Examine fire extinguishers in BMA and fire extinguishers of members of the BMC Samphanthawong District All are in usable condition.

For the Phat Sai community, it has an area of 1.15 rai, 75 houses, and a population of 230 people. If calculated according to BMA standards, 1 fire extinguisher per 5 houses is considered within the standard criteria.

In this regard, Deputy Governor Tavida has assigned the Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to coordinate with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority. In the matter of cutting off electricity in the event of a fire. Due to the power cut in some areas, it is not possible to cut off power completely in a wide area. The power must be cut off at points in the area where the incident happened. In addition, cutting off power must take into account bedridden patients being treated at home, requiring the district to prepare complete information on bedridden patients in the area.
As for the Red Head Waterworks, coordinate with the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority. Specify the coordinates of the Red Head Waterworks into the Bangkok risk map system for both above-ground fire hydrants and underground fire hydrants. Including considering ways to place signs in places where there are visible fire hydrants buried under the ground. Do not place anything obstructing the red-headed waterworks. Which is the point of receiving water from the fire hydrant
