BMA welcomes UNDP to exchange ideas and suggestions. Develop a project to create a gender equality certification seal for government agencies in BMA.

 

Assoc. Prof. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Governor of Bangkok welcomed Mr. Chris Hemus, head of the delegation from UNDP and the Audit and Evaluation Advisory Committee (AEAC).
To discuss and exchange opinions and suggestions regarding the implementation of the project to create a gender equality certification seal for government agencies in BMA at BMA City Hall, Giant Swing.

The Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions project is a project operated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The objective is to promote and honor government agencies that are committed to Promoting gender equality and developing women’s potential. In addition, it also encourages government agencies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 5 on gender equality and number 16, on peace, justice, and strong institutions.

For the benefits that BMA will receive from participating in this project to create a gender equality certification seal for government agencies in BMA. It will raise the level of work in promoting gender equality to meet international standards and relevant agencies have a gender perspective. In working even more the evaluation according to the project will help reflect your strengths. Weaknesses of Bangkok’s past performance in promoting gender equality
To be able to determine appropriate strategies to effectively drive the promotion of gender equality in Bangkok.
