BMA invites you to experience the sidewalks with the signature “Peony” pattern to complete your experience of exploring the Yaowarat area through walking. Good walking

Mr. Aekvarunyoo Amrapala BMA spokesperson along with Mr. Pinit Kanjanachusak Member of BMC Samphanthawong District led the media to see the new changes in the Yaowarat area through beautiful peony pattern tiles in the project to improve the sidewalks along Yaowarat Road. Under the area development policy of Bangkok

A BMA spokesperson said today’s visit was to demonstrate the main goal that BMA has set: The development of walkways according to the walking policy has resulted in 1,000 kilometers of walking in 4 years, one of which is Yaowarat. That is not just improving the sidewalks, but also enhancing the economic and tourism dimensions by drawing on neighborhood identity and connecting different neighborhoods. This is the heart of development. Ultimately, the benefits will go to the people in each area of Bangkok.

Mr. Pinit spoke about the origin of the peony pattern tiles. After accepting the position Went down to survey the Yaowarat sidewalk which was found to be quite deteriorated. Therefore, there was an idea of wanting to improve it to be more consistent with the present. Therefore, we consulted with the district and received cooperation from SCG in designing the tiles with a peony pattern to be consistent with Chinatown.

This has been approved by the people in the area, and from now on, the Samphanthawong District will change the sidewalk tiles from the old style of dragon scale pattern that they used to make. Let the entire sidewalk have a peony pattern.
