(June 11, 2024) Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok Went to the area to inspect the fire incident at the Srisomrat Market Project. Zone for selling fighting fish and pets, Chatuchak District. The incident occurred at approximately 4:08 a.m., with officials from the Phahon Yothin, Dusit, Phaya Thai, Sutthisan, Lat Phrao, Huai Khwang, and Bang Pho fire and rescue stations going to the area to control the fire. The fire was extinguished at 4:37 a.m.

The Srisomrat Market Project Fighting Fish and Pets Zone is an area of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). There are 118 shops with a total area of 1,400 square meters.
A preliminary investigation found that 1,300 square meters of shops and areas were damaged by the fire. There were no injuries or deaths. Many pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, birds, fighting fish, and chickens were damaged and died. Officials are in the process of investigating the details and cause of the fire.
