Bangkok has introduced strict measures to support the heat wave to integrate all sectors and take care of the health of at-risk groups.

Mr. Aekvarunyoo Amrapala, BMA Spokesperson and Assistant Secretary to the Governor of Bangkok, revealed that the Meteorological Department announced that Thailand will enter the hot season on 21 February 2024 and end the summer season in mid-May 2024.
It is forecast that the temperature will peak at 44.5 degrees Celsius. Such extremely hot weather may cause health hazards to people,
especially high-risk groups due to health conditions including young children, people over 65 years of age, pregnant women, people who are obese, and people with chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, including at-risk groups who exercise or work hard in hot weather. It is mostly found in young people who are physically strong, such as athletes, workers, soldiers, etc.

Bangkok has created a plan and measures to deal with the extremely hot weather conditions in the Bangkok area for the year 2024, divided into:
1. Measures implemented throughout the year.
2. Measures during the critical period, monitoring and warning of situations in areas with heat problems to inform the public as well as setting operational guidelines for relevant agencies to proceed, divided into 27-32 degrees Celsius/32-41 degrees Celsius/temperature 41-54 degrees Celsius and over 54 degrees Celsius
