The courtesy call, held in the Amorn Phiman Room at Bangkok City Hall in Phra Nakhon District, aimed to bolster the long-standing bilateral relations between the two cities under their formal Sister City agreement established in 2012. Key discussions focused on expanding deep educational and youth exchange initiatives, which have served as the foundational bedrock of their solid diplomatic alliance for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central highlight of the discussion was the ongoing BMA-Aichi Youth Exchange Program, which has successfully connected over 186 students through reciprocal visits since its inception. To advance this collaboration, Aichi Prefecture formally invited a BMA youth and official delegation to participate in an immersive learning seminar in Japan this September. Dr. Lertluck also expressed profound gratitude for the &#8220;Aichi-kai&#8221; club, which has generously provided over 500 academic scholarships to underprivileged BMA students since 1989, alongside fostering strong sister-school networks with institutions such as the BMA&#8217;s Wichutit School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to academic ties, the meeting served as a vital platform to promote the upcoming 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, scheduled from September 19 to October 4, 2026, and the 5th Asian Para Games from October 18 to 24, 2026. Representatives from Aichi&#8217;s economic federation and Asian Games organizing committees personally presented campaign details, while Dr. Lertluck pledged the city&#8217;s full public relations support to rally Thai sports fans and propel national athletes toward surpassing previous gold medal records.
