On June 13, 2026, Mr. Narong Ruengsri, Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), oversaw administrative preparations to accommodate the royal funeral procession of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita. The royal procession will move from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, to the Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace. Mr. Narong instructed all BMA agencies to fully integrate their operations concerning venue management, security, traffic flow, environmental cleanliness, and basic amenities. This directive ensures that the monumental mission proceeds smoothly and safely, in a manner fully befitting Her Royal Highness\u2019s high honor while delivering comprehensive public convenience.<\/p>\n

To facilitate the procession route, which encompasses Henri Dunant, Rama IV, Phaya Thai, Sri Ayutthaya, and the three segments of Ratchadamnoen Road, the Public Works Department has undertaken repairs to road surfaces, ensured the leveling of manhole covers, and installed essential electrical systems for command tents and mobile sanitation facilities. Concurrently, the Environment Department, along with local district offices, has engaged in extensive landscaping, tree trimming, and cleaning along the entire route. In anticipation of the significant number of citizens wishing to pay their respects, the BMA has enhanced waste management operations and deployed mobile restrooms within the Sanam Luang area as well as along the designated streets.<\/p>\n

Safety and emergency response infrastructure have also been thoroughly verified. The Traffic and Transportation Department has confirmed the operational readiness of all CCTV systems along the route to bolster security and crowd management. For emergency preparedness, the Fire and Rescue Department has deployed fire trucks to Sanam Luang and stationed water safety personnel at Tha Chang Pier. Additionally, both the Medical Service and Health Departments have established a network of ambulances, first aid stations, and medical personnel strategically positioned along the route. Through this meticulous coordination, the BMA endeavors to carry out its solemn mission with the utmost honor and highest dignity.<\/p>\n
