The administrative review focused on ensuring logistical readiness for the simultaneous elections of the Governor of Bangkok and Members of the Bangkok City Council, scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026. Attended by officials from the Phaya Thai District, the Administration and Registration Office, and the Governor of Bangkok Secretariat, Mr. Thanit strongly reinforced the BMA Permanent Secretary&#8217;s directive for strict political neutrality. He also ordered thorough civil registration verifications for cases involving foreign nationals to maintain legal compliance and data integrity ahead of the upcoming capital elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the inspection, Mr. Thanit commended Phaya Thai District as a model for its innovative integration of technology and proactive public relations. To accommodate the relocation of 32 polling stations from outdoor tents into permanent buildings due to the rainy season, the district developed dedicated QR codes for citizens to seamlessly track location changes. To minimize voter confusion on election day, the district office implemented door-to-door resident notifications, stamped clear warnings on household notifications, and placed informational signage at former polling sites to properly redirect commuters to their updated interior venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the Deputy Permanent Secretary highlighted a critical operational issue regarding differing voter eligibility criteria between the two simultaneous ballots. Because the local council election is district-based while the gubernatorial race treats Bangkok as a single electoral district, residents who relocated across district lines within the past year are eligible to vote only for the Governor.
