This initiative aims to dismantle traditional educational barriers and address the growing crisis of children dropping out of the school system, particularly in the post-pandemic era where economic pressures have led many families to prioritize immediate labor over formal schooling. Under the policy theme “Learning for Life, Opportunity for All,” the BMA is focusing on four strategic pillars: enhancing early childhood education, improving overall educational quality, ensuring school safety, and fostering lifelong learning spaces accessible to residents of all ages.

Central to this mission is a proactive campaign to reintegrate approximately 130,000 out-of-school children back into the educational fold. Deputy Governor Sanon reported that teachers and officials have already successfully tracked and brought back nearly half of the identified youth through targeted home visits. To ensure that education remains relevant and valuable to modern families, the partnership is developing flexible, competency-based curricula in coordination with vocational schools. These programs are designed to equip students with real-world career skills, such as the barista courses showcased by youth at the forum, thereby reducing the time and financial burden on parents while guaranteeing a tangible return on their investment in education.

Looking forward, the project plans to establish “Learning Routes” across all 50 districts, effectively turning the city’s unique community and environmental resources into a sprawling urban classroom. A key component of this digital transformation is the “Next Learn” platform, an online gateway that allows youth to explore their interests and develop skills anytime and anywhere. Supported by private sector partners like Central Restaurants Group (CRG), the initiative marks the second year of Bangkok’s “Learning City” movement. By integrating pilot successes from the Pathum Wan and Khlong Toei districts, the BMA and its partners are building an inclusive educational ecosystem where the city itself becomes a vital tool for social mobility and lifelong discovery.

#GoodLearning #Bangkok #BMA

On April 23, 2026, Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Gove …

อ่านเพิ่มเติม “BMA Partners with EEF and Thammasat University to Transform Bangkok into a “Classroom of Life””

[267

post-595295","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-eng0
["GET
