Mr. Tumur Amarsanaa, the Mongolian Ambassador to Thailand, presided over the unveiling of the “Two Stallions” sculpture at Benjakitti Park. This permanent installation serves as a powerful symbol of the sister-city relationship between Bangkok and Ulaanbaatar, gifted by the Government of Mongolia and Ulaanbaatar City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. Set against the backdrop of one of Bangkok’s most iconic urban landmarks, the sculpture transforms the heart of the city into a gallery of international friendship and cultural diversity. Governor Chadchart expressed deep gratitude to Ulaanbaatar, noting that the artwork is a testament to the strength and vibrancy of a shared bond that has flourished for over half a century.

The masterpiece was crafted by acclaimed artist Ochirbold Ayurzana, who drew inspiration from the legendary twin horses of Genghis Khan. The sculpture depicts two stallions facing each other in balanced elegance, representing Thailand and Mongolia as two nations with distinct identities coexisting in harmony and mutual respect. Beyond its diplomatic significance, the artwork incorporates sacred Mongolian themes of courage, resilience, and the untamed “spirit of the steppe”. For the residents of Bangkok, the installation brings a piece of Mongolian heritage to the city center, serving as a physical reminder of the enduring unity between the two countries.

Looking ahead, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) remains committed to deepening its partnership with Ulaanbaatar through active exchanges in education, tourism, and culture. The unveiling ceremony, which was also attended by Deputy Governor of Bangkok Sanon Wangsrangboon and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underscores a shared vision of peaceful coexistence. As the “Two Stallions” takes its place in Benjakitti Park, it stands as a source of pride for both capitals, bridging the distance between the bustling urban energy of Bangkok and the historic traditions of Mongolia.

#BMA #Mongolia #TwoStallions #Ulaanbaatar #SisterCity

On April 9, 2026, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of …

อ่านเพิ่มเติม ““Two Stallions” Masterpiece Unveiled in Bangkok to Mark 50 Years of Thai-Mongolian Ties”

[267

post-591334","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-eng0
["GET
