This vital infrastructure endeavor, managed by the BMA Environment Department, is designed to create a seamless 250-meter elevated walkway connecting the Lumphini Park directly to the Benchakitti Park in Pathum Wan District. Accompanied by Environment Department Director-General Woranuch Suaykakaow and a team of civil engineers, the Deputy Governor reviewed the project’s multifaceted components, including the construction of the bridge’s main foundation, the demolition of outdated radio station structures, and the comprehensive renovation of auxiliary buildings for public use.

As of the inspection date, the project has reached an overall progress rate of 71.68%, with actual construction work standing at 64.22%. While the physical progress is currently lagging behind the original schedule by approximately 7.46%, the contractor, Sirilert Corporation Co., Ltd., has assured the BMA that the link remains on track for an unofficial opening on May 15, 2026. To address the slight delay, Deputy Governor Chakkaphan has instructed the Environment Department to maintain rigorous oversight to ensure both efficient budget disbursement and adherence to strict safety standards. Beyond the structural work, the BMA is prioritizing extensive landscaping efforts to restore the area’s natural greenery and optimizing water drainage systems within the park to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all visitors.

Once fully operational, the Green Bridge will serve as a vital artery for Bangkok’s fitness community and urban explorers, allowing runners and pedestrians to traverse between the city’s two largest “green lungs” without interruption. This project aligns with the BMA’s broader vision of enhancing urban livability by expanding accessible public spaces and promoting healthy lifestyles. A follow-up inspection is scheduled for March 27 to ensure that all safety and aesthetic benchmarks are met before the public debut. By bridging these two landmark parks, the BMA is providing a high-quality, continuous recreational path that integrates nature directly into the heart of the city’s bustling urban landscape, effectively creating one of the most significant interconnected green spaces in the capital.

#GoodEnvironment #GoodHealth #GoodManagement

On February 28, 2026, Mr. Chakkaphan Phewngam, Deputy G …

อ่านเพิ่มเติม “Bridging the Green: Lumphini-Benchakitti Pedestrian Link Set for May 15 Debut”

[267

post-582442","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-eng0
["GET
