On March 1, 2026, Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok,<\/span> <\/strong>officially visited the \u201cPlay\u2026Learn\u2026Know Science in Thai Toys\u201d exhibition at the Bangkok Children\u2019s Discovery Museum in Chatuchak, marking a significant milestone in urban education. This year-long showcase, located on the second floor of the Totawan Building, is the first major result of a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the National Science Museum (NSM). By blending legendary Thai heritage toys with fundamental scientific principles, the project aims to spark curiosity and create “Ahhh!” moments for children through interactive, hands-on learning that intentionally transcends traditional classroom boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership, formalized just days prior on February 27, represents a strategic commitment to fostering 21st-century skills among Bangkok\u2019s youth. Beyond this specific exhibition, the BMA and NSM intend to roll out a series of rotating activities and joint workshops across the city\u2019s various learning libraries. These initiatives are designed to modernize science communication and develop accessible learning resources tailored specifically for a diverse urban audience. Deputy Governor Sanon emphasized that knowledge is most impactful when it is engaging, effectively turning historical playthings into practical tools for exploring modern innovation, technology, and physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcomed by a distinguished delegation, including the BMA Culture, Sports and Tourism Director-General Vilai Jaroenchaisakul and NSM Deputy Director Dr. Kannika Chen, the exhibition invites children and the general public to discover the mechanics hidden within Thai cultural artifacts. The \u201cPlay\u2026Learn\u2026Know\u201d experience is now open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 16.00 hrs., providing a unique space where cultural tradition meets scientific inquiry.
