<\/figure>\n\n\n\nA recent public poll has revealed strong approval ratings for Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt as he marks three years in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cVoice Changer: Changing Bangkok with Your Voice\u201d survey, conducted among 2,187 respondents between 2nd and 9th May 2025, indicated that 64.12% of those polled were satisfied with the governor’s performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Aekvarunyoo Amrapala, Assistant Secretary to the Governor and spokesperson for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), presented the poll results, which also highlighted the governor\u2019s perceived strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of those surveyed, 37.32% cited his willingness to listen to public opinion and his close engagement with citizens. A further 34.48% praised his hard work, while 27.47% acknowledged his progressive approach, noting his continuous development and adoption of modern innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked about the governor\u2019s most impressive achievements, 44.87% of respondents pointed to the regulation of street vendors and the management of pavement obstructions (street furniture). Flood mitigation efforts were cited by 36.13%, and the handling of emergency situations, such as the recent earthquake, was noted by 28.98%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On environmental policy, the public expressed support for key initiatives. The Million Trees Project and the creation of 15-minute parks across the city, aimed at increasing green spaces, received 39.08% approval. The Low Emission Zone project, restricting heavy vehicles during periods of severe air pollution, was supported by 36.57%, and the promotion of work-from-home arrangements to reduce traffic congestion and pollution was favoured by 27.96%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding tackling corruption, 44.03% of respondents attributed the issue to an organisational culture that normalises such practices. A further 29.57% felt that current penalties were insufficient, and 24.67% cited a lack of transparency in public information disclosure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Throughout his tenure, Governor Chadchart has prioritised the voice of the people, recognising that public feedback drives city development,” said Mr. Aekvarunyoo. “We appreciate all suggestions, whether concerning infrastructure, quality of life, the environment, or BMA management. We are committed to open dialogue and continuous improvement to ensure Bangkok meets the needs of all its residents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Aekvarunyoo also invited the public to examine the BMA\u2019s work at the BKK Expo 2025, themed \u201cEfficient City, People Building the Future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The expo will showcase the city\u2019s progress across various sectors and provide a platform for public feedback to shape Bangkok\u2019s future. The event will take place from 15th to 18th May 2025, between 12:00 and 20:00, at the Benchakitti Forest Park Museum Building (MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Center).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
